Group Personal Training Coaches Wanted

We are expanding our team of trainers for Brien Shamp's Coaching, Nutrition & Fitness locations in Burlingame and Belmont. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, outgoing, friendly, reliable, team-oriented, punctual and have good communication skills.

Job Description

Be able to coach large groups of individuals from all fitness levels through strength training and metabolic style workouts. Bring amazing energy every day and positive attitude. Be able to competently explain and demonstrate proper exercise form for large groups (we will train as needed). Be able to use coaching cues to help members understand exercise form and offer substitutions where necessary.

A person with an amazing ability to connect with other people and naturally has a positive attitude. Someone who loves being around people and can lead a group. Someone who is a team player and wants to work closely with others to achieve team goals. We are all about helping people, so we want someone who has a strong desire to help serve others.

Skills/ Requirements
• 1 year Customer Service experience (preferred)
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology (not a must but preferred)
• Basic understanding of exercise biomechanics (not a must but preferred)
• CPR & First Aid required
• National personal training cert/ group fitness certification preferred & we will help train you!
• 3 references (previous job or school only)
• No whiners, complainers, or finger pointers

Everyday our coaches bring a level of enthusiasm and passion that is seldom seen elsewhere. Bad days aren’t allowed while coaching. We are also always striving to constantly learn and stay on the cutting edge of fat loss, fitness, nutrition and overall heath. That means we expect new team members to have a desire for constant and never-ending improvement for themselves and others.

This is a part-time position. Our coaches train anywhere from 2-15 hours per week.

We also have an internship program for those that are interested in coaching/training or for trainers that are not quite ready to lead a group.
