POSITION OVERVIEW: Schedule, develop, lead, monitor and promote safe and appropriate Yoga programs. Form strong relationships with our members.
◾Implement and lead Yoga classes in a variety of styles (Flow, Restorative, Power, etc.).
◾Enforce member service operations policies and procedures.
◾Promote programs to members and participants.
◾Record participant counts, distribute and collect program evaluations, and report incidents.
◾Work with supervisor regarding program information, class changes, and member service issues.
◾Document and/or report incidents.
◾Follow and enforce safety regulations and other policies and procedures.
◾Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
◾Must hold nationally recognized Yoga Instructor certification.
◾Must have experience in a variety of Yoga styles including Restorative, Flow, and Power Yoga.
◾CPR and First Aid certifications required.
◾Previous experience in group exercise instruction.
◾Knowledge in exercise as well as related background in health.
◾Ability to positively motivate members/participants in fitness activities.
◾Excellent verbal communication skills.
◾Strong customer and results orientation.
◾Ability to interact effectively at all ages, levels and across diverse cultures.
◾200 Hour Yoga Teacher training certificate is preferred.
◾Prior experience as a Yoga instructor is preferred.
◾Chair Yoga for Seniors a plus!
